Chapman Lily Planning are very pleased to secured permission for our client for the redevelopment of an edge of settlement (the site being outside of the settlement boundary and within the Green Belt) in Dorset. We were able to demonstrate to the Council that the proposal represented limited infilling of a village and as such was not inappropriate development. Giles Moir, Director at Chapman Lily Planning commented “in addition to demonstrating that the proposal was not inappropriate development, when assessing the contribution that the site makes to the openness of the Green Belt we were able to demonstrate that given the historic use of the site, it’s redevelopment would not prejudice the openness of the Green Belt”.
