This week, colleagues from Sibbett Gregory and Chapman Lily came together for an inter-company go-karting session, swapping desks for race suits and enjoying an evening of friendly competition.
After some fiercely contested races, the podium positions were claimed by:
1st – Ali Knott (Sibbett Gregory) – 31.431s
2nd – Chris Tillbrook (Sibbett Gregory) – 31.720s
3rd – Mark Reynell (Sibbett Gregory) – 31.830s
The racing was full of action throughout the evening with plenty of close battles around the circuit. While some relied on outright pace, others focused on the racing line, making overtaking far from straightforward.
No race report would be complete without mentioning the steward’s involvement. In a display of competitive spirit (and perhaps a dose of healthy rivalry!) both Brett ‘Fernando Alonso’ Spiller and Giles ‘Kimi Raikkonen’ Moir received Black Flags for a racing incident – all was well in the end, and they were allowed back on track after a few stern words!
A few bruises, blisters and sore arms were picked up along the way, but most importantly, a lot of fun was had by everyone involved.
Congratulations to Sibbett Gregory who leave with bragging rights… for now. We would like to thank all our drivers, pit stop crew, the teams and the crowd who all helped make the evening a success.
We look forward to the re-match – Game On.
