Chapman Lily Planning was delighted to host its Friends & Family Day at Swanage & Wareham Rugby Club, bringing colleagues, family and friends together for an afternoon of rugby, good company and local sporting spirit.
The occasion was made even more special with the Swans taking on local rivals Dorchester at Bestwall Road in what proved to be an exciting and hard-fought local derby.
The Swans made a strong start, dominating possession for long periods and looking dangerous in attack. New signing George David made an impressive debut, crossing the line twice in the first half following some powerful attacking runs. Working brilliantly alongside scrum half Tom Jacka, the Swans added a third try just before half-time to take control of the game.
Dorchester fought back strongly after the break, applying considerable pressure in the closing stages. However, a determined defensive performance from the Swans ensured they held on to secure a well-deserved 19–15 victory.
George David was deservedly named Man of the Match, as well as CL Planning’s Man of the Match, following an outstanding debut performance that included two tries and some impressive attacking play.
It was fantastic to bring everyone together to enjoy the match and show our support for local rugby. Days like these provide a great opportunity to spend time with colleagues, family and friends outside the workplace while supporting an important part of our local community.
CL Planning would like to congratulate the Swans on a brilliant victory and thank Swanage & Wareham Rugby Club for hosting us. We are proud to support local sport and look forward to many more opportunities to enjoy and support rugby in our community.
