Chapman Lily Planning Ltd were delighted to welcome family and friends to the rugby club on Saturday 12th February.
It was a great turn out, the weather was better than expected, and the Swans put on a great performance to defeat local rivals Wimborne Town for the second time this season.
The first XV put on a dominant first half performance with winger Harry Spyers scoring and converting two tries. The first try was set up by an impressive break by George Crouch and although Wimborne Town staged a late second half comeback (possibly helped by two yellow cards for Home Team players?), the Team’s well organised and robust performance was too strong for the visiting team.
CLP Directors Brett Spiller and Giles Moir delayed the post match celebrations for a relaxed post match photograph under the posts.
CLP Office Manager (Kevin Chilvers) presented the man of the match award to Harry acknowledging an all round performance including a strong kicking display.
Hopefully the ankle injury isn’t serious and Harry will be fit and well enough to help the team to a victory in the next match.
Well done the Swans, and thanks to everyone at the rugby club for your hospitality.
