Ahead of the anticipated increase in Planning Application fees the Planning Portal have published a forth coming version of the increased fees.
A Guide to the Fees for Planning Applications in England (planningportal.co.uk)
The guide shows that application fees for new dwellinghouses will be on a tiered basis, with the fee per dwellinghouse increasing from not more than 10 dwellinghouses, being £578 per dwelling to £624 per dwelling for proposal of between 10 and 50 dwellings.
The legislation to increase the planning application fees is likely to be considered by the House of Commons once MPs return from the conference recess and will come into force 28 days later.
As widely published, the ‘free go’ provision will be removed, however applications already eligible for a free resubmission will retain this right.
There will also be a change to the Planning Guarantee, reducing the timeframe for non-major applications to be eligible for a refund to 16 weeks.
Giles Moir, Director at Chapman Lily Planning, commented ‘the Planning Portal fee schedule provides a very useful guide for applicants to be able to take account of the forthcoming changes to planning application fees’.
