Further to our earlier news article regarding the progress of this plan, Chapman Lilly Planning can now add a further update upon its progress and advise that public consultation on the East Hampshire Local Plan will commence on Monday 22 January, and last for a period of six weeks. The consultation also includes a series of drop in events throughout the plan area. To reiterate, the Plan aims to set out the development proposals and policies for housing and employment sites, together with the necessary infrastructure to support growth up to the period 2024. The Plan will affect areas of East Hampshire outside the South Downs National Park.
As she stated previously, Clare Spiller (Associate Director) welcomed the announcement of the public consultation period, stating; ‘It is good to see continual progress being made with the local plan – we look forward to working with clients in order to ensure the required new homes and employment sites gain planning permission’
