Chapman Lily Planning has successfully secured planning permission for essential electrical infrastructure at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, without which the hospital’s operations, patient care, and safety could be compromised. Phase 4 of the Royal Bournemouth Hospital electrical infrastructure upgrade works is to provide new incoming electrical capacity to the Wessex fields site to the east of the existing Healthcare site. This capacity is required to allow both redevelopment projects already in progress and planned works for the next fifteen years and serve the new Darwin building due for completion in July 2025.
“This approval is vital for maintaining Bournemouth Hospital’s ability to provide uninterrupted healthcare services,” said Clare Bolton, Assistant Planner at Chapman Lily Planning. “Modern hospitals rely heavily on sophisticated medical equipment that require consistent, reliable power supply. This infrastructure upgrade will help ensure that critical care services can continue without disruption. Thank you to the Case Officer’s at BCP for their hard work and ensuring this application was determined quickly to allow prompt commencement of work.”
