Chapman Lily Planning take to site with a visit to Poole Pottery, Poole to see how their recently secured planning permission to erect a mixed use development comprising A1, A2, A3 and/ or D1 commercial units and 64 apartments is taking shape.
Planners rarely get the opportunity to see the construction of developments and it was a delight to get to appreciate the skill and logistics that goes into the build. This site can be described as ‘tight’ with the proposed buildings footprints making up most of the site. This requires huge logistical forethought to ensure that the right building material and equipment is on site at the right time within a limited site area. The sheer amount of on site planning to achieve a high standard of build gave the word ‘planning’ a whole new meaning.
Phillippa Gatehouse from Chapman Lily Planning stated ‘a tour of the site brought plans to life and it was brilliant to see the planning permission being built out into what will hopefully breath new life and increase footfall into the Poole Town Centre and Quay’.
We look forward to seeing the finished build.
