Chapman Lily Planning is delighted to announce the appointment of Simon Trueick as Technical Director. Simon brings over 35 years of planning experience across both the public and private sectors, having held senior leadership positions within local authorities and consultancy practices.
Simon has an outstanding track record in planning policy development, strategic planning, development management, and housing delivery. He has led the preparation and delivery of local plans, major planning applications and appeals, and complex infrastructure projects. Simon is also highly experienced in project managing multi-disciplinary teams, undertaking peer reviews of local planning authorities, and acting as an expert witness at public inquiries.
Prior to joining Chapman Lily Planning, Simon was Director of Consultancy at Intelligent Land, where he advised clients on strategic land, planning policy, development viability, and housing land supply across the South of England. Earlier in his career, he led a joint planning policy service for Christchurch Borough Council and East Dorset District Council and held senior planning roles with New Forest District Council and Bournemouth Borough Council.
