New Forest District Council have made some recent changes to the pre-application advice service. Various categories are provided under a pre-application which split enquiries based on the proposed development. This includes separate pre-application fees depending on the type of application e.g. householder, business and residential as one price and listed building and tree enquiries as another with a few applications being fee exempt. Payments for this service will also be requested in stages, depending on the amount of advice required.
Emma Ralphs, Graduate of Chapman Lily Planning explained that ‘ pre-applications can now become more streamlined, with more specific points for each type of application rather than the same generic information. The client would have the option to pay more for further advice if necessary, assisting clients with specific information for aspects of a development’.
Please contact Chapman Lily for more information or assistance with submitting a pre-application.
