The Wiltshire Local Plan review is holding a consultation period from Wednesday 13th January 2021 until midnight on Tuesday 9th March 2021. This involves the council collating sufficient quantities of land to satisfy future housing needs. This consultation seeks to gather the views of local communities and stakeholders on the suitability of land promoted for development and to provide opinions on whether the distribution of the proposed developement sites in the county are acceptable. Any feedback given will help the Council shape the draft local plan with the document being finalised in the latter half of 2021. Due to COVID restrictions, a number of online consultation events will run in order to explain the proposals relevant to each area.
Giles Moir, Director of Chapman Lily Planning explains that ‘This consultation will provide opportunities for land owners and developers to promote their sites for development. Local communities will also be able to comment on the land promotions . Comments will provide the council with opportunities and information as to where future land development will be located up to the year 2036. If you have any land interests in Wiltshire that you feel would benefit from being represented through the Local Plan review process please contact Chapman Lily Planning’
