Swanage Town Council has contacted planning agents announcing the commencement of the Swanage Neighbourhood Plan Call for Sites. The Town Council are calling upon landowners and agents of land within the Swanage Neighbourhood Plan Area for expressions of interest in applying for future development permission.
The ‘call for sites’ is an opportunity to identify land where there is a belief it could be developed to meet future demand for homes, jobs, leisure, or community use, within the Neighbourhood Plan Area. The council would be interested in sites that may be suitable for housing, employment, affordable housing, etc.
Sites will be assessed against mandatory policy, and the vision, mission and aims of the Swanage Neighbourhood Plan.
Sophia Dykes (Assistant Planner) advised ‘this is a time limited request for potential future development sites to be considered for inclusion the forthcoming Swanage Neighbourhood Plan. Whilst not a guarantee of obtaining planning permission, having a site accepted and included significantly increases its chance of development occurring. Should anyone feel they have a site and need assistance or guidance with the process, Chapman Lily can assist.’
