In order to inform future stages of preparing the Local Plan, South Gloucestershire Council will be undertaking a ‘call for sites’. The purpose of the call for sites is to provide an opportunity for people to identify sites that may have potential for allocation (for development for housing and economic uses) through the Local Plan, by inviting the submission of sites to the Council. The ‘call’ will be made in early summer. John Hammond, Associate Director at Chapman Lily Planning said ‘The recent withdrawal of the Joint Spatial Plan for the West of England will present an opportunity for more dispersed growth, considering the role of smaller settlements. So now is an excellent time to assess whether your land has development potential.’ For more information please do not hesitate to contact us.
