The Sandbanks Peninsula Neighbourhood Plan Daft Submission has been submitted to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP) for consultation. BCP Council are subsequently carrying out a consultation on the draft submission plan running for eight weeks from Friday 7 July to Friday 1 September 2023 providing an opportunity for individuals and organisations to raise comments they have about the plan regarding its contents and how it has been prepared.
The Sandbanks Peninsula Neighbourhood Plan covers land to the end of the narrow road which leads to this peninsula.
Clare Spiller Senior Planner at Chapman Lily Planning states that “The objective of the plan is to actively preserve and enhance the unique character and heritage of Sandbanks for all, now and for generations to come. At the same time, it will positively embrace fresh ideas whilst maintaining our focus on the environment, sustainability and design quality of development in the locality.
It is important that you voice your views as this is your opportunity to make suggestions on this draft plan which will become part of the ‘development plan framework’ following adoption. All responses received by BCP will be passed on to the independent examiner that has been appointed as part of the examination process of this Plan which will be held at a later date”.
