Despite only adopting the New Forest Local Plan in July 2020, the Council has announced it is inviting landowners to promote their land for potential future development under a fresh ‘call for sites’. The process will end on 24th September 2021. Commenting on this announcement, Steve Tapscott, associate director at Chapman Lily, said that ‘this is one of the first stages in the Council’s local plan review process and is an important opportunity for landowners to get their prospective sites on the Council’s radar. The recently adopted local plan accounts for larger sites of 100+ dwellings, whereas this new plan aims to allocate smaller sites’.
Chapman Lily Planning has enjoyed great success across the country in promoting sites on behalf of landowners through the local plan process. If you would like to consider promoting your land for future development, please feel free to get in touch.
