Chichester District Council has announced a new Call for Sites as part of its upcoming Land Availability Assessment (LAA). The Council is actively seeking submissions for land that could be suitable for future development, including housing, economic, and mixed-use sites, provided they are located within the Chichester District and outside the South Downs National Park.
Importantly, the Council is requiring that any previously submitted sites—such as those in the former HELAA—be resubmitted to confirm their continued availability, otherwise they will be assumed unavailable.
The Council welcomes a wide variety of proposals, ranging from housing sites capable of delivering five or more homes to economic sites of 0.25 hectares or larger, as well as sites for renewable energy or local green spaces with no minimum size requirements.
All submissions must be made via the Council’s online consultation portal by 5:00 PM on Friday, 15th May 2026.
