The Hurn Neighbourhood Plan Daft Submission has been submitted to Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole Council (BCP) for consultation. BCP Council are subsequently carrying out a consultation on the draft submission plan running for eight weeks from Friday 7 July to Friday 1 September 2023 providing an opportunity for individuals and organisations to raise comments they have about the plan regarding its contents and how it has been prepared.
The Hurn Neighbourhood Plan covers the Parish of Hurn with Bournemouth Airport in the middle of the plan area.
Clare Spiller Senior Planner at Chapman Lily Planning says that “The objective of the plan is to retain, protect and reinforce Hurn’s rural character as a place where people can live and work peacefully and enjoy the wonderful surrounding countryside.
It is important that you voice your views as this is your opportunity to make suggestions on this draft plan which will become part of the ‘development plan framework’ following adoption to 2032. All responses received by BCP will be passed on to the independent examiner that has been appointed as part of the examination process of this Plan which will be held at a later date”.
