The consultation seeks views on the draft alterations to the NPPF where the text has been revised to implement policy changes in response to ‘Building Better Building Beautiful Commission’ that came out last year. This is not a review of the entire NPPF but a number of changes to the text of the Framework are being proposed. At the same time, the consultation is also seeking views on the draft National Model Design Code, which provides details, design guidance and policies in order to promote successful design.
This consultation ends at 11:45pm on 27th March 2021.
In response to this announcement Giles Moir, Director of Chapman Lily Planning explains ‘’this consultation process will provide more detailed guidance in regards to building design and we are interested to see the Government’s proposals for the National Model Design Code and how this will influence future development proposals’’
